Holliston Pantry Shelf Announces New Board Members and Elects New Executive Board Leadership
October 25, 2019 - The Holliston Pantry Shelf Board of Directors elected five new Board Members including Holliston residents Martha Devoe, Jane Gilfoy and Karen Jewett. Holliston High School juniors Mattisse Carmack and Jack Winston were named Student Board Members. A new Executive Board has also been announced: Keely Krantz will serve as President, Karen Jewett will serve as Vice President, Dave O’Neil will continue to serve as Treasurer, Tony Polise will continue to serve as Corresponding Secretary and Debbie Kerrigan will continue to serve as Recording Secretary.
“We are delighted to expand our Pantry Board with such capable, community-service minded individuals,” said Keely Krantz, President of Holliston Pantry Shelf. “Each of these new Board Members offers unique and valuable experience and perspectives that will help continue our Pantry mission of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”
Two Student Board Members are selected each October and serve a two-year term as the primary liaisons between the Holliston Pantry Shelf and the Holliston High School community. To be considered for this position, students must fill out an application describing their volunteer and leadership experience, as well as interview with Holliston Pantry Shelf Board members. Applications are emailed to all junior Holliston High School students through the guidance department.
Holliston Pantry Shelf, founded in 1993, serves more than 200 families and is located at 73 Charles Street. The Holliston Pantry Shelf is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit food pantry that provides food at no cost to Holliston residents.
